Protect yourself during COVID-19.

Valenser Face Scarves

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, we want you stay safe.

The COVID-19 virus is spread through respiratory droplets of an infected person that speaks, breathes, coughs, sneezes, or leaves the virus behind by touching a surface. Some studies show that the virus may be able remain in the air for hours and on surfaces for several days. An uninfected person introduces the virus into their system by breathing in the droplets or by touching their eyes, nose, or mouth. The long lifetime of the virus requires us to maintain social distancing, wash our hands, and isolate ourselves if we are showing symptoms.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has indicated that wearing face coverings helps prevent the spread of the virus. The temptation to wear surgical masks or respirators is tempting but with limited supplies, we must fight this urge so that medical providers have the equipment they need to stay safe. The United States has a severe shortage of masks, leaving doctors and nurses dangerously exposed. The U.S Surgeon General has proposed alternatives to face masks that include t-shirts, towels, scarves, and bandanas.

The combination of face coverings, social distancing, sanitation, and good hygiene helps to flatten the curve. We have worked quickly to produce face scarves that can be used as mask substitutes if a mask is not available. Our face scarves are made of 100% jersey cotton that stretches to ensure a better fit. The face scarves are machine washable and can be used more than once. Your purchases will help us donate face scarves to medical professionals that need additional protective equipment. It is important to remember that these are not FDA approved and we make no medical claims or guarantees.
